I first became a visual artist by immersing myself in a creative environment during high school, where I spent a lot of time around various artists. I joined an after-school art program with the Keleketla Library, participating in activities like silkscreen making and poetry, which sparked my interest in the arts. My passion for visual arts deepened as I frequently attended galleries, pop-up events, and festivals, where I also fell in love with music. After graduating, I got interested in music production, and by 2015, I began creating electronic experimental music. Since I couldn’t afford someone to design my album covers, I started making them myself, which led me to fall in love with the vaporwave movement. This inspired me to create vaporwave digital art and music under the name IAMWINDOWS95, a homage to my first computer.

My art is a captivating visual manifestation of the music I produce, with each piece echoing the rhythms, textures, and emotions embedded in my soundscapes. As an artist, I view my creative process as a fluid exchange between sight and sound, where my electronic experimental music becomes a source of inspiration for my visual work. The layers, beats, and abstract melodies I craft in my tracks guide my hand, translating auditory experiences into visual expressions. Just as my music is often driven by the ethereal and the surreal, my art embraces a similar sense of movement and depth, drawing from the vaporwave aesthetic that first captured my imagination. Through my work, I aim to create an immersive experience, inviting viewers to not only see but also feel the vibrations of the soundscapes that fuel my creative journey.
